Are you a bit of a sun worshipper? Then may I suggest Wexford to you. From there board a ferry at Rosslare for France and keep driving south. Because when you get to Bordeaux you’re going to love this hammock and the way it opens up for all those lovely rays.
Even if you’re going to chance your luck closer to home then this hammock and stand set is a dinger. A nice wide spreader bar hammock with good quality bamboo bars and fancy knotwork on the loops it’s made from synthetic fabric that dries super fast and will never go mouldy. Having the extra width on the fabric means it’s suitable for two adults if that’s your gig or you can spread out on your own. Remember, bigger hammocks are better.
The new improved Esterel stand is aso a quality piece of equipment. Good for 160kg, it’s top trick is that it can adjust in two directions. Using the bottom bar to lengthen or shorten and the arms to increase height. This gives you many combinations and means you can easily fit a different hammock on it if you feel like it. Top tip: spreader bar hammocks are most comfortable when hung fairly taut so keep the arms lowish and extend the bottom bar to get it right. Do the opposite with classic hammocks a they should be hung slack.
The stand has a tough powder-coated finish over galvanized steel so is suitable for being outdoors during the summer, naturally it will last longer if you put it in the shed for the winter.
There’s a clever wheel on the front so you can move it about like a wheelbarrow with next to no effort.
Assembly and adjustment is really straightforward and no tools are needed. See the video below.
